Art of Bruce Whistlecraft

The crowning glory of the current “Oddfellows” show at Stranger Factory is the collaborative sculpture between myself and the astonishingly talented Chet Zar. A tower of robot and monster goodness. Who controls who in this mash up of metal, bone and flesh. The piece took many months to complete with parts going back and forth across continents. The final result is a probably never to be repeated, surreal bio-mechanical wonder. The whole thing stands some 21″ tall in case you were wondering just how big it was.

It was a real pleasure and privilege to be able to work with Chet on this project. The results are even better than I could have hoped for.

Sebastian Whittler  – Toy maker

Renown throughout the land for their marvellous toys, Sebastian is one half of the famous Whittler brothers.
He works miniature mechanical miracles with whatever comes to hand. Creating curious characters and fantastical clockwork facies for the discerning collector.
He has the sense when he works that he is breathing a little bit of his soul into each of his creations.

An odd idea as they are, after all only clockwork.

Stephen LePodd the tentacularly adorned, adventuringly daring denizen of Retropolis can now be yours as a relief cast metal pin badge. Polished and partly enamel filled for that classic, vintage look.

This piece will be an exclusive release at ToyCon UK in London on the 6th of April.

The third annual group show of dimensional works curated by the amazing Chet Zar kicks off at Copro Gallery in L.A on the 19th of January.
Showcasing work from some of the top talents in the world of fine art, toy art and film design. An astonishing line up indeed. One which I am stunned and humbled to be a part of. This is one group show not to be missed.
