The crowning glory of the current “Oddfellows” show at Stranger Factory is the collaborative sculpture between myself and the astonishingly talented Chet Zar. A tower of robot and monster goodness. Who controls who in this mash up of metal, bone and flesh. The piece took many months to complete with parts going back and forth across continents. The final result is a probably never to be repeated, surreal bio-mechanical wonder. The whole thing stands some 21″ tall in case you were wondering just how big it was.
It was a real pleasure and privilege to be able to work with Chet on this project. The results are even better than I could have hoped for.

The new science of Photography heralds a fresh artistic era.
One in which the everyman can create images as beautiful as any trained painter.
Why hire a professional when with the simple application of basic equipment anyone can take their own pictures.
A popular idea not shared by Tiberius.
Anyone may be able to click off a few snap shots. But it takes great skill to make truly great images.
Just dont get him started on the advantages of photographs over paintings.

Vinyl, ABS, Epoxy, Lead, Brass, Copper, Rubber, Paper, Aluminium, Found objects and Vintage Draughtsman’s instruments. On a vintage wooden base. (Comes with 33 small faux vintage photographs).
13″ tall.
In the “Oddfellows” show at Stranger Factory.

Once part of a larger factory building the original wave of Mechtorians, Mr. Weatherspoon was the first to see the sense in offering a new sort of service to the growing population. His establishment caters for the wealthier members of society who want a bit of a brush up and a re-fresh. His team of professional craftsmen can offer a wide range of upgrades or refurbishments to suit any need or desire. From simple lube job to relieve those little twinges to a total body remodel to meet the needs of ever changing fashions. Fast, discreet and hygienic.

ABS, Vinyl, Epoxy, Brass, Lead, Rubber, Paper, Found Objects. In a Vintage wooden miniature building.
A 360 degree viewable “Playset” containing one main figure and seven smaller characters which can be placed around the structure.
13″ wide by 36″ tall.

Sebastian Whittler – Toy maker
Renown throughout the land for their marvellous toys, Sebastian is one half of the famous Whittler brothers.
He works miniature mechanical miracles with whatever comes to hand. Creating curious characters and fantastical clockwork facies for the discerning collector.
He has the sense when he works that he is breathing a little bit of his soul into each of his creations.
An odd idea as they are, after all only clockwork.
Toy clockwork.
Not real living clockwork like himself.

Vinyl, ABS, Brass, Lead, Rubber, Epoxy, Wood, Glass, Found Objects, in a vintage glass display dome.
11″ tall in dome.
Part of the “Oddfellows” gallery show with Chet Zar .

In the style of his best selling line of Mechtorian pin badges comes the first iteration of arguably Doktor A’s most popular character. Stephen LePodd the tentacularly adorned, adventuringly daring denizen of Retropolis can now be yours as a relief cast metal pin badge. Polished and partly enamel filled for that classic, vintage look.
This piece will be an exclusive release at ToyCon UK in London on the 6th of April.
A strict edition of only 100, engraved numbered pieces, the copper and red Stephan can be yours for only £5.
Each badge is 1″ across and comes bagged on a display card.
Any remaining stock after the event will be made available on Doktor A’s online store.

The third annual group show of dimensional works curated by the amazing Chet Zar kicks off at Copro Gallery in L.A on the 19th of January.
Showcasing work from some of the top talents in the world of fine art, toy art and film design. An astonishing line up indeed. One which I am stunned and humbled to be a part of. This is one group show not to be missed.
