Unlock your potential! You have great things inside you! Just find the right key and your inherent promise will be set free.
Robinson very strongly suspected that in his case they meant a literal, actual key. So he collected them. And tested each one to see if it was the right one.
He could feel that potential inside.. Tickling and wriggling to be free. Once he unleashed it, he would be unstoppable!

A new Custom work : Autopsy Turvey, customised from a Luke Chueh Target Bear, the “Self – Medicated” edition by Jason Freeny (produced by Munkyking).
So that makes this a custom of a custom..
Three artists have had a hand in it. Quite an oddity.
1000 Toys from Japan produce a range of hyper articulated 1:6th and 1:12th scale figures called the Synthetic Human.
Late last year they took an exhibition of customised Synthetic Humans out on a worldwide tour of conventions adding new artists at each venue.
I was one of the lucky creators asked to take part in the first round of the tour and created Douglas J Machen for the show. A Mechtorian Satyr of mythical provenance.
This is one of my most complex creation to date requiring a new approach to my working practice in order to retain the wonderful articulation of the original platform.
Standing 12″ tall the figure uses Epoxy, Polyutethane Resin, Acrylic, Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Leather, Lead, and Found Objects in his construction.
If you are interested in delving deeper into the construction processes used to create Douglas you may like to join me over on my Patreon page. I have just embarked on a ten part series explaining in great detail how I bought him to life.
I wish him safe travels on his tour.
And who knows, maybe we will be seeing more of him in the future.
