To celebrate the move to it’s new permanent web address my online store has had a total makeover.
The freshly renamed “Mechtorian Emporium” is now much more mobile device friendly and offers a wider range of items with more photos and an easier to navigate interface.
Follow Doktor A on Instagram, Ello and Facebook for discount codes for the new store as well as regular tidbits, work in progress shots and updates.
This marks the first phase of the upgrades rolling out for all the Doktor A online resources. Over the next few months expect to see renovated and improved websites and blog.

Spookypop.com is dead..
The end of an era for me.
It was the first site I set up when my gallery/store Arkham closed its doors ten years ago.
Spookypop was my experimental online world where I explored my artistic leanings. It mutated through many versions and themes from purple to teal to sepia and eventually spawned the Mechtorians who moved to their own site and have been the focus of my work for the best part of the decade.
Spookypop saw the birth of my first hand made toys, the Podlings and the Poddyville mini series as well as my first customised vinyl toys.
But the name is no longer relevant to what I do. I am neither very Spooky or very Pop… So a new site under my own name is born to house my non Mechtorian work.
This is not the end of my art.. far from it, just the closing of one now redundant online arm of it.
I thank everyone who has visited Spookypop over the years and enjoyed my musings there. I hope you will continue to follow me in my ever evolving art adventure.

An exclusive mini print of “Sebastian Whittler” will be available from my booth at Designer Con on the 8th -9th of November at the Pasadena convention centre.
Pop on down to booth number 416 to pick up one of only 25 signed and numbered prints of this Toy making Retrobot.
6″ x 8″ (image size 4.5″ x 7″ ) $15 each.. Signed and Numbered by Doktor A.
Renown throughout the land for their marvellous toys, Sebastian is one half of the famous Whittler brothers.
He works miniature mechanical miracles with whatever comes to hand. Creating curious characters and fantastical clockwork facies for the discerning collector.
He has the sense when he works that he is breathing a little bit of his soul into each of his creations.
An odd idea as they are, after all only clockwork.
Toy clockwork.
Not real living clockwork like himself.
