The Hob-Boglin ( Hoblinus Boglinum)
The larger and less often spotted cousin to the common Boglin.
Slightly more intelligent and dangerous than it’s smaller brethren.
More likely to be seen sporting rudimentary clothing and in some reported cases even beaten metal armour.
If spotted in the wild, do not approach.
If agitated they can sometimes be subdued with Marsh Mallows, as long as they contain actual marsh.

I am pleased to say I was invited to participate in the re-launch of Boglins.
This classic line of 1980’s toys has been reworked and reintroduced by Clutter with original creator Tim Clarke.

As someone who worked on the original line of Mini Boglins back then it has been fun revisiting these mischievous little characters and messing with them.

Sargent Gee and his Mechanised Cannon were tasked by High Command to render all enemy bases inoperable. However on Mechtoria there are no enemies, thus no bases. So he has opted for rendering inoperable all potential hiding places for any potential enemies or terrorists..
To this end he is destroying all the trees!

Mechanics of Life ( The Artist’s Daily Struggle with Self Motivation )
A new collaborative small run Art Multiple with Luke Chueh and Munky King.

Designer Con at the Pasadena Convention Centre on the 21st & 22nd of November will see the launch of the new collaborative art toy from Munky King toys. Created by Doktor A using Luke Chueh’s vinyl Bear figure.
The edition of 50 pieces (25 will be available at Designer Con with the remainder available direct from Munky King soon afterwards) shows the internal mechanism of the sad bear. Required to wind his heart daily.
The 8″ tall figure features a hand cast, polished “cold cast” resin internal pieces, resin chest door and winding key, combined with original vinyl toy parts. The figure comes boxed with a wall background display piece.
Signed and numbered by the artists.

This exhibition will debut a 4.5 inch version of the character made specifically for the exhibition.  Showcasing the work of over 30 artists exploring the theme of bedtime stories, we invite them to revisit some of their favorite classic fairytales.

Bedtime stories come in many varieties, whether it’s a fairytale or fable or nursery rhyme, they bring us back to our childhood and our memories of stories and storytelling. Each custom Bedtime Bunny will tell it’s own story and give us a glimpse into each artist’s childhood inspiration.

I always felt Bella DeLaMere had a bit of a 50’s/60’s vibe to her, maybe its the slightly “Beehive” hair-do.
So remodelled her into a 1950’s space girl.
Reworked her “hair” to fit the bubble helmet..
Resculpted the “feet” to hug the metal dome moon base.
Sculpted a whole new hand and raygun..
Added the backpack and airline, some details and an unusually clean paintjob for me..

Stumpy Warburton “Mourning” edition will be released exclusively at Designer Con in Pasadena on November the 8th & 9th.

There will be ONLY 20 of these 2″ tall resin figures, each hand painted by Doktor A.
Signed and numbered, carded and bagged.
