The retro-futuristic, robotic Shiba Inu sofubi, designed by Doktor A and produced by Lowbrowee Toys, is getting the hand-painted treatment!
For the first time a fully painted and embellished edition of the popular doggo is being released.
With an added cravat jewel and metal winding key, the 6 inch tall and 8 inch long soft Japanese vinyl toy will be released in a micro edition of only 10 pieces. Each one lovingly customised by Doktor A himself.
They will be a staggeringly affordable $225 each. And can be found at the Global Figure Showcase Booth 407 at DesignerConin Las Vegas from the 15-17th of November.

Once againBroke Piggy are joining forces with the art toy mastermind Scott Tolleson to bring a custom show to DesignerCon. This time it is the turn of WNDGO. A masked enigma, eliciting echos of folklore and shadowy realms.
The all-star line up for this show is truly stellar. And Doktor A is honoured to be among the ranks.
His piece “The Reliquary” will be on display and available at booth No. 1618 for the weekend.

The kings of awesome action figures, Four Horseman Studios are at DesignerCon in Las Vegas this year. They are launching their latest selection of amazing releases, including the new Valiant Knight figure.
Doktor A was invited to customise one of the knights for a custom show taking place at the event. And it just so happened that Mugi Teaworthy was the perfect scale to make a valiant steed!
Warriors riding giant animals is nothing new in the action figure world. But you have never seen one quite like this before.

Launched this week a new micro edition of 4 Thomas Nosuke Sofubi toys with a built in light up feature. (The colour-changing lights are controled from a small remote control handset.)
This version the 8″ Mechtorian robot is unpainted on the outside. He has a pure and clean crystal clear Japanese Sofubi on the upper parts with milky white leg arrangement.
Inside there is a Sofubi “mechanism” also in crystal clear sofubi which has been accented in a high shine chrome on some details.
A truly minimal and pure custom edition.
Each is signed, numbered and dated on the underside. Each one come in a vintage style box.
A very limited micro edition of five customised figures.

April the 29th also sees the opening of the “Nogit Party”group show at Clutter Gallery.
Along with an invited selection of artists from around the world, Doktor A has created a brand new customised version of the Big Nog figure by Creon Chkn.
These 6″ tall resin chickens are brimming with attitude and this show is not to be missed.
The opening reception is from 6-9pm on the 29th. With work remaining on show until the 5th of May.
